There's lots of things you can do locally, some of which are totally free! We've compiled a list of ideas for you as well as some of our favourites.

Easter Specials

There's loads going on to entertain your family over the Easter break, please check events websites for up to date times and prices. If you don't fancy something Easter related, check out our free and local days out.

Kent Life - Maidstone

The spring into Easter event has animal feeding sessions, owl flying demonstrations, shows in a big top tent and so much more!

Dover Castle - Dover

Explore the castle to hunt for clues and challenges and discover traditional Easter games. Track down the Easter eggs and you’ll be rewarded with an adventurer’s certificate and a tasty chocolate treat

Hornby Visitor Centre - Margate

Make 'n' Paint event £5pp Thursday 6th April 10.30-2.30pm and Wednesday 12th April 10.30-2.30pm. Sunday 16th April – KIDS go FREE into the museum

FREE Animal sensory days including animal talks and handling (11am and 1pm) and sensory play (10.30am - 2.30pm), Tuesday 4th April, Wednesday 12th April, and Wednesday 19th April.

Hever Castle - Hever

Included at no extra charge this Easter is an Easter quest through the gardens and a craft egg decorating workshop. There is also the usual interactive audio guide inside the castle.

Rare Breeds Centre - Ashford

As well as the usual farm fun, this Easter there will be lots of lambs and baby goats to meet, pig racing and an Easter themed word trail to test your detective skills around the farm.

Folkestone Museum - Folkestone

There are extra activities planned for the Easter period suitable for ages 4-11 and all are inspired by nature. Wednesday 12th April – Colouring / Thursday 13th April – Make a creature out of natural materials / Friday 14th April – Nature-inspired dreamcatcher / Saturday 15th April – Woodland animal masks. All activities run in the learning space (11am-12.45pm, 1.30pm-3.30pm)

Admission to the museum and these activities are FREE but with a suggested donation of £1 to cover material costs

Royal Engineers Museum - Gillingham

Take your best shot on a Nerf firing range, complete the Easter Egg trail to win a great prize plus discover the incredible story of the Royal Engineers, check out a Ferret Armoured Vehicle, a Shielder Mine Layer, an Army Helicopter, and more, meet soldiers through the ages and learn about daily life. Event runs on the 8th and 9th of April (from 10am-5pm)
