About
Friends of Southborough is the Parents and Teachers association for Southborough Primary School.
When your child starts at Southborough Primary School you automatically become a member of Friends of Southborough (FOS) however, we are always happy to hear from businesses or other members of the community who want to get involved.
FOS is very important to the school. It is set up as a charity so that all monies raised are tax-free for the school to use. It is an important asset for the school and we are currently looking for new recruits. How about volunteering to join the Committee and helping to raise extra funds for the school? As well as raising money, which is always needed, we try to make the events fun and varied for the children and their families. It adds to the community feel of the school if everyone can get involved and it's a great way to meet other families.
There are currently about a dozen active members on the Committee and lots of volunteers prepared to give up time to help at events. Joining the Committee is a fantastic way to meet new people and become more involved with the school. Generally the Committee meets every 4-6 weeks but again that depends on forthcoming events and what needs to be talked about.
For more information please click on the button below, email friendsofsouthborough@hotmail.com or ask the school office to introduce you to a Committee member.
Meet the Team

Chair
Christine
I am fairly new to FOS and I want to try and bring a fresh perspective to the committee. I have 2 children, a 2 and a 6 year old so along with working, life can be pretty hectic at times. I am glad to be part of a talented school community and I look forward to supporting you and your children and focusing on what we can build together.
I joined FOS to try and help make a difference to the school and in turn our children's experience there. I hope together we can have the conversations about how to make the school more inclusive and engaging, and find a way for all parents/carers to become involved with our school.

Hi, I’m Fiona and vice chair of Friends of Southborough.
I have 4 children aged 15, 12, 10 & 4. They have all attended Southborough with my youngest starting Reception September 2023. I have been involved in FOS for the last 5 years.
I love being involved with my children’s school and through the committee, help connect the school and community. Through my work with the PTA I hope to help offer new experiences and opportunities to the children and their families.
